Excellent results this weekend; in a field of a couple dozen women's teams (we were in the D-I field of eight), we came in second with some remarkable minutes played. Final score Dartmouth 10 Princeton 0... We camped out at Dartmouth's goal line for more than 5 minutes and failed to score. With nine minutes in the game Dartmouth got to our goal and managed to put it in, repeating in the last minute of the game for their 10 point victory.
Summary:
Princeton 5 UConn 5
Princeton 24 Hamilton 19
Princeton 20 Northeastern 0
Princeton 0 Dartmouth 10

In Women's D-I Sweet 16, Brown made Final 4, beating Navy 31-10, will play Stanford; Penn State is in (beat UMass in first game) and will play winner of UCLA and Army ...
In men's rugby, BYU will play Army and Arkansas State plays Cal-Berkeley in the Final Four. This is a big deal because it's going to be 16 of the top "athletic schools" - not just rugby - in the US: e.g. Ohio State, Arizona State (who's going to be coached by one of my ex-players, whose son goes to U of A - gotta love it), Notre Dame, Penn State, etc etc etc ... a great start for the 2016 Olympics as we can start recruiting and testing varsity athletes that have finished their eligibility and maybe want to find a way to be an Olympian) ... |
